Prehospital Trauma Life Support - 10th Edition (PHTLS)

The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course, developed by NAEMT in collaboration with the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma, is internationally recognised as a leading continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. This course enhances trauma patient management by equipping prehospital care providers with the skills and knowledge needed for effective intervention. The Committee provides medical direction and content oversight, ensuring the program aligns with the latest standards in trauma care.

PHTLS focuses on improving trauma care outcomes and reducing mortality through a structured approach that treats multi-system trauma patients as unique cases with specific needs. The course fosters critical thinking, empowering EMS professionals to apply key principles and make informed patient care decisions based on a strong foundation of knowledge and best practices.
