PPE and IPC
Aspen Medical’s Personal Protective Equipment and Infection Prevention and Control (PPE and IPC) course teaches the skills and knowledge to confidently protect yourself and those around you against infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
Our Clinical Governance team of experienced clinicians and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) designed the course for individuals of all skill levels and industries.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
The course comprises compulsory eLearning and optional live training (virtual or face-to-face), enabling the best possible training solution for your team and industry.
The eLearning contains fundamental and essential knowledge to upskill your team and encourage staff and client confidence, including step-by-step processes and a video for Donning and Doffing PPE (correctly and safely putting on and taking off PPE).
Live training (virtual or face-to-face)
The 1-hour live training session (virtual or face-to-face) is an interactive training component to build on the eLearning module. It reinforces the principles learnt in the eLearning and includes a practical PPE Donning and Doffing session (correctly and safely putting on and taking off PPE, including gloves, gowns, goggles and masks). It is an opportunity for participants to practice their donning and doffing to ensure they are familiar with the PPE techniques and discuss questions with our trainer.
You are welcome to provide the practical training opportunity to as many or as few in your team as you choose.
The virtual and face-to-face PPE and IPC live training components have a maximum of 10 participants per session.
All participants must have a moderate understanding of English to complete the course.
eLearning training: approximately 30 minutes
Live training: approximately 1 hour
Participants are required to complete theory and practical assessments.
- Theory assessments consist of multiple-choice and true/false questions.
